Privacy Policy

Effective October 18, 2026

The short version.

This policy covers wrenva.com and the work Wrenva does to find and contact businesses we might help. "Wrenva," "we," and "us" mean the business behind this site.

What we collect on this website

When you request an audit

Your name, business name, website or Google listing, email, and, if you give them, your phone number and the best time to call. We also record which link or site brought you to us (for example a search engine, or a tag in a link we sent) and which button led you to the form. Netlify, which handles the form for us, also records your IP address and browser type with the submission and checks it for spam.

We copy your request, without the IP address and browser type, into our own records about your business. There we connect it to any free scans of the same website and to anything we already know about the business, and we note how things go from there: whether we wrote back, whether we spoke, and whether you became a customer. Asking for an audit never adds you to our outreach emails. We reply to you ourselves.

When you run the free scan

The website address you enter and the business type you pick. The scan loads that website's public pages the way a browser does. We keep a record of each scan: the website's domain, the business type, what the scan found, and which link or site brought you to us. We copy these records into our own records about businesses, matched by website, so we can see which businesses checked their site. A scan alone never adds a business to our outreach emails. To limit how many scans one visitor can run in a day, we keep a counter tied to a code made from your IP address. The code changes every day, and we don't store the IP address itself.

When you browse

We count visits with our own small counter, not an outside analytics company. For each visit it records the time, the page, the name of the site that sent you (if any), the tag in the link you followed (if any), which buttons you clicked, and whether you're on a phone or a computer. To count unique visitors without cookies, it uses a code made from your IP address and browser type. The code changes every day, so it can't follow you from one day to the next, and we don't store the IP address itself. Known bots aren't counted.

If you follow an audit link from one of our industry pages to the request form, your browser keeps a short note for that tab only (session storage, not a cookie): where you came from, which button you clicked, and the website you scanned, so the form is filled in for you. It's deleted when the form page reads it or the tab closes, and it reaches us only if you submit the form.

To deliver the site

Our host, Netlify, processes your IP address and browser details to serve pages and protect the site from abuse.

Information about businesses we may contact

Wrenva reaches out to owner-led businesses. To decide which businesses to contact and what to say, we gather information businesses make public: name, address, phone number, website, hours, listing details like ratings and review counts (from Google and OpenStreetMap), and what the website offers, such as online booking or ordering. We may also find the name, role, and work email of an owner or manager, from the business's own website or from Hunter, a service that finds business email addresses.

We use this only to evaluate the business and contact it about our services. Every email we send tells you how to stop hearing from us, and once you ask, we don't email you again.

How we use it

We use an AI model (from Anthropic) to help draft some outreach emails and to sort replies. The business information involved is sent to Anthropic for that purpose only.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with companies that help us run Wrenva, and only for that work:

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case the new owner must follow this policy.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Virginia, the UK, or the EU), the law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or move your information, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted ads. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live, and we won't treat you differently for making one. We don't sell personal information or use it for targeted ads.

Security

The site runs only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We limit who can see the information, store as little as we can, and turn IP addresses into daily codes instead of storing them. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that information will never be exposed, but we'll tell you if a breach affects you as the law requires.

Children

Wrenva is a service for businesses. It isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, use the form below and we'll delete it.

Where information is processed

Information is stored and processed in the United States by us and the companies listed above.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so at the top of this page.

Make a privacy request

Use this form to ask what we have about you, fix it, delete it, or stop hearing from us. It goes straight to the people who handle it.
